This doesn't seem like it really "fits" on either the Main or Theology Board, so I'm posting it here.

The guys in my Wednesday Breakfast Bible study decided to do this book A Sheherd Looks At Psalm 23when we come together in September. And I was asked to see if there's a study guide for leading through this (the guys take turns leading - some are better than others).

I can't find anything so far. Does anyone know if there is one?

I'm not choosy - If you know of someone in some church who's done this for Sunday School, VBS, a series of messages - Whatever - I'd like to see what they have.

I found one.

Inter-Varsity Press puts one out in their LifeGuide Bible Studies.

Thanks!

Kind of interesting when you think about it.
To me anyway.
That there is a study guide for a book that is supposed to in effect be a study guide to a passage of scriture.
A study guide for the study guide.

(I am not against the notion of either of these pieces of literature, the book or the study guide to the book, just think thats interesting.)

Kind of like when I bought my first computer which was a first generation iMac. I bought the guide Macs for Dummies. I was told that was like Computers for Dummies for Dummies.  cheesy

Trust me.....This group needs a study guide.  Even with one, I am constantly amazed at how fast and how far things can get off-topic.

I'm in a Bible study with two other women on Tuesday nights. We first went through Hebrews and are now in Galations. Two of us are completely random and will end up just about anywhere. Thankfully God provided us with one woman who will stop a flight of fancy and say, "let's get back to the point here". She even gives us homework like having a key verse and theme and outline before the next time. I need that kind of thing unfortunately.

I love the book, A Shepherd's Look At Psalm 23 by, Phillip Keller. I have a four book works in one volume of his insprational writings which include, the above,
A Layman Looks at the Lord's Prayer
A Shepherd Looks at the Good Shepherd and His Sheep
A Gardner Looks at the Fruits of the Spirit

He brings scripture alive profound truths expressed in a simple language... Love him, love him, love him

Such an awesome book.  I pick it up at used book sales and pass it along to others.

I enjoyed his others too, but Psalm 23 is my favorite.  A book you could read a few times even.
