I saw something so interesting on Bill OReilly that I just had to bring it here for discussion.

He was ranting about a pole out about the National Enquirer News Station viewers beliefs.

He starts out, "Did you know Republicans are stupid and evil?"

A "radical loon" blogger writing a new book went to independent pollsters and had a pole done.  This is what he's complaining about.

He says that it says,

39% of self identified Republicans believe Obama should be impeached

63% believe Obama is a socialist

only 42% believe Obama was born in the US

and as he chuckles he tells us 31 % believe Obama hates white people.

And then he goes on to say, "Now if you believe that pole, you believe Nancy Pelosi once dated **** Chaney."

Of course clips backing up the fact that Fox pushes these views are plentiful.

Since I have heard each and all of these opinions here, I thought surely this should make for a wonderful discussion.

Before you go too far with this, go back and re-read some of your own posts about Bush.

What in the world are you talking about?

I have told you that the neocon republican agenda that you people jump on and push is stupid and evil and lies and distortion for all the years I have been here.

They feed you b.s. and tell you not to listen to anyone who refutes them, trashing their reputation as much as possible, and you all act like they are the bible.  As if anyone else's view, including the person they are trashing are Satan and they are the good angel coming to save you.  You've all been conned and you love it and eat it up.

And then they laugh at you in your faces and you can't even see it.

The truth is, Murdock learned a long time ago that you can tell people anything and if you package it right someone will believe it.

Rupert Murdock must just laugh everyday to the bank.

First of all its a POLL, not a POLE!

Second, you tend to revert to a "you people" tone. I think you practice a habit of pointing to examples of a very small minority of whackos, (which actually of course exists at either end of any political spectrum), and imply that those examples represent a numerically significant portion of people.
I sense you like to picture yourself as being among the more unique, kinder, gentler, more enlightened part of the body of Christ. Do you feel that it helps you to make that seem so, by setting up a strawman of ignorant christian masses and then knock it down?
I remember one time you ranted on the masses of people with fish on their cars that were running you off the road and all with their poor driving, implying it was a statistical fact that most christians with a fish on their car were reckless drivers. Same tactic.

Furthermore, when you talk about "the neocon republican agenda that you people jump on"...yada yada yada, who the heck you talking about? The assertion that there are a bunch of folks in this forum who have swallowed some agenda is simply not true. If anything, the most common political persuasion here tends to more liberal or libertarian in this forum. "You people" indeed!

Mary, I would like to comment even at the high risk of being branded as a stupid and evil Republican who idolized George Bush.  Roll Eyes

1. 39% think Obama should be impeached...

Let's be truthful here. I'd guess that most of those polled who thought this don't even know what impeached really means. Though I will admit that says something in itself. However, I'm sure if the question had been asked of Democrats about Bush in 2007 the percentage would have been much higher. Did you think Bush should have been impeached? Even though I disagree with him probably 98%, I don't think Obama should be impeached. Elections have consequences.

2. 63% believe Obama is a socialist...

He isn't???

3. Only 42% believe Obama was born in the US...

There are lots of ways that could be proven without a doubt...why so secretive? Myself, I believe he WAS born in Hawaii. However, I also think it highly probable that if we could see his actual birth certificate listing the hospital where he was born, his father's name, and signed by a physician that we'd all be surprised to find out who his real father is. I suspect it's Frank Marshal Davis of whom he writes about so fondly in his books. I guess having a leading Communist as a father would still be more scandalous these days than a mystery about one's birthplace. If I was Obama's advisor I'd have recommended he keep that quiet too.

4. 31% believe Obama hates white people. I guess that might show there is still a lot of bigotry. But I'd sure be interested in the demographics of the sample polled and how this question was asked. Either way it also shows that 69% of the evil, stupid Republicans polled DON'T think Obama hates white people.

I think Obama is a socialist and should be impeached. Does that make me a stupid and evil republican? I also thought Bush should have been inpeached. Actually I kinda think Bush and Cheney should be charged with war crimes.

If you have ever read either one of Obumbums books you will clearly see that he is anti-white---look at the church that he attended for so many years and listen to the pastor that led the flock--if you don't agree with a church doctrine you find another one--Obumbum stayed there. I don't agree with Rush or Limbaugh or Fox on some of their "info" but I do feel that our current president is not an American and I strongly feel that he should be removed for office. If this makes me an "evil" republican---so be it.

Greeting our present president does really want to transform this country.
As people being evil - check our the third chapter of the Paul's letter to the romans and consider that he was quoting the old testament.

Our current president's capacity to hide some of his desires to change us makes it hard for a lot of folks to see what he is up to.

Up to this time the government set standards for products. The government after extracting its taxes did not attempt to tell us how to spend the balance of our funds.

The bill passed authorized the IRS to hire 16,000 more agents.  It sure looks like those who voted for the bill must not believe that people are going to on their own volition are going to buy health insurance.

For me the reality that in Christ we can learn to love others and in christ we are new creatures.  We need revival and it starts with God's people.

PS there is no free lunch.  Those with health coverage are being called on to pay for the coverage for those who do not have coverage.

Yep ... those of us with good insurance are going to be taxed on it mightily to pay for those who don't. And a lot of us who do will lose it!

Just because the wild imaginations of the talkers on the right tell you what the president's desires are, does not make them so.

I assure you that there is no way that any of them have a clue how or what the man thinks.

That is NOT a wild imagination. It is a verifiable fact that health benefits will be taxed as income.  You think you're the only one with a handle on the truth sometimes, ABCoH. Guess what? Some of us conservatives have brains too.  rolleyes
